Who's behind Naturavita?
The Nemčević Family
From humble beginnings to a market leader
Our founding principle can be summed up in four words: “From field to table”. Being immersed in the entrepreneurial waters of the early nineties, when free enterprise was practically unknown in Croatia, the bold and ambitious Jasna Nemčević, with the help of her family and a great deal of hard work, built a recognizable and economically successful brand on domestic and foreign markets alike – the Spider Group d.o.o. from Pitomača, which consists of five related companies that specialize in growing and processing medicinal and aromatic herbs, as well as furnishing products related to them.
The Naturavita brand was brought into existence by a family that followed its passion for years, fostering ecological production at its own locations and maintaining the highest quality standards for the production of medicinal teas, oils and other products. Jasna proved the truth of the proverb that “the tougher the climb up the mountain, the more magnificent the view”, starting from scratch, and all the while believing in herself, her abilities and those four simple words from the beginning of the story. Her visions inspired and motivated her husband Nikola, a master of agronomy, and together they invested all of their strength, knowledge and experience into the business, at first specializing in the purchase, processing and export of medicinal herbs, especially chamomile. Their company became one of the first in Croatia to export herbs without intermediaries to Germany, Italy, Austria and Hungary.
With their combined strength, faith in the possibilities for success, and a powerful appetite for work, Jasna and Nikola successfully merged their personal and business lives, eventually transferring their shared values to their children, Diana and Denis, who have grown to be essential to the operations of the Spider Group. Their son Denis is the President of the company’s management board – in 2015 he won the title of Croatia’s Best Young Manager – and their daughter Diana Bartolić is the Director for quality, procurement and general affairs.
“Tea is the elixir of life.”
Lao Tzu, Chinese philosopher
Tea protects the whiteness of teeth
Adding a few drops of milk to your tea prevents unattractive spots from forming on your teeth. Only one drop of milk in tea can be more effective than whitening toothpaste.
Perfect tea depends on the water temperature
The ideal temperature for steeping tea depends on the type of tea you are preparing. When preparing tea, always heat the water in a teapot. While heating it in a microwave oven may seem practical and efficient, it is impossible to achieve the ideal water temperature for steeping tea.
Regulate the amount of caffeine in your cup of tea
If you want more caffeine in your cup, steep the tea bag or leaves in hot water for a longer period of time. If you want to eliminate up to 80% of caffeine, first steep the tea briefly, and then pour fresh boiling water over it again.
