Do the best things happen accidenTEAly?

Yes, there is a whole multitude of myths and legends about the emergence of this divine drink which is often associated with ancient concepts of spirituality and philosophy. One of the stories leads us to far-off China, where tea is believed to have been discovered quite by accident back in 2737 BCE. The legend says that Emperor Shen Nong, a very skilled ruler and scientist, was boiling water in his garden, and a few leaflets drifted suddenly into his pot. When he drank a few sips of water from the pot, the Emperor was so thrilled that he was seized with the urge to thoroughly investigate the plant. During his research, Shen Nong discovered, in addition to its enchanting taste, some of the numerous medicinal properties of tea.

A story that further supports the hypothesis in the title dates back to something more recent, to 1908, when the story of the invention of tea bags emerged. The main character is Thomas Sullivan, a New York tea and coffee merchant who sent his tea samples to customers in small metal cans. Having concluded that tea could be more cheaply sent in cloth bags, and believing that the samplers would pour the samples into hot water, he was not even aware that he had invented something without which we cannot imagine drinking tea today. The customers dipped the entire bags into hot water, and Thomas soon began to receive an enormous number of orders, so he began to pack his tea into more practical gauze bags.

“There is no problem on Earth that cannot be tempered by a hot bath and a cup of tea.”

Tea protects the whiteness of teeth

Adding a few drops of milk to your tea prevents unattractive spots from forming on your teeth. Only one drop of milk in tea can be more effective than whitening toothpaste.

Perfect tea depends on the water temperature

The ideal temperature for steeping tea depends on the type of tea you are preparing. When preparing tea, always heat the water in a teapot. While heating it in a microwave oven may seem practical and efficient, it is impossible to achieve the ideal water temperature for steeping tea.

Regulate the amount of caffeine in your cup of tea

If you want more caffeine in your cup, steep the tea bag or leaves in hot water for a longer period of time. If you want to eliminate up to 80% of caffeine, first steep the tea briefly, and then pour fresh boiling water over it again.
