Japanese crushed: More than 30,000 people sipped tea in India
Gathering together, heating up water, choosing the favorite flavors and side dishes like cakes and cookies can only mean one thing: tea party! Enjoying tea, company and beautiful aromas while calmly discussing everyday things is a fine way to fill the day and forget your worries.
The importance of quality tea time was recognized by tea lovers from all over the world, so they organized the largest tea parties they could. The shared love for tea expanded and grew in India’s Indore city. The largest tea party so far was held in 2012, when up to five thousand liters of tea was consumed by more than 32,000 tea lovers. The tea party participants were entertained by famous Indian singers performing hits from the Bollywood series, and all the participants were allowed to keep the designer cups in which the tea was served. This largest of tea parties was organized by the daily newspaper Dalnik Bhaskar, which had to hire about 980 tea servers for it, and order 250 kilograms of dried tea leaves. Since tea often goes best with a little something added to it, they also had to prepare 2,500 liters of milk and water. This gathering in India far surpassed the previous largest tea party of October 2006, which was held by the city of Nishio, Japan. More than 14,000 tea lovers gathered there, enjoying green tea in the traditional manner of the Japanese tea ceremony. Nishio is known as a city where the highest quality tea is grown in Japan. It has been grown there since the year 1200, and is especially famous for matcha tea that is characterized by a mild but sweet taste. But big tea partiers do not need to go to the other end of the world. The author of many culinary bestsellers, Britain’s Mary Berry, hosted London’s largest cream tea party in July 2018. More than 980 people enjoyed British scones with jam and cream and cups of black tea. At this tea party, all of the nibbles were vegan and gluten-free. All of the money donated by her guests was collected for an association that cares for the elderly and helpless in London. We can safely say that tea parties bring people together for pleasure and entertainment – just like Naturavita teas. Organize a tea party today, invite some friends over and enjoy your favorite drinks!
“Tea is the elixir of life.”
Lao Tzu, Chinese philosopher
Tea protects the whiteness of teeth
Adding a few drops of milk to your tea prevents unattractive spots from forming on your teeth. Only one drop of milk in tea can be more effective than whitening toothpaste.
Perfect tea depends on the water temperature
The ideal temperature for steeping tea depends on the type of tea you are preparing. When preparing tea, always heat the water in a teapot. While heating it in a microwave oven may seem practical and efficient, it is impossible to achieve the ideal water temperature for steeping tea.
Regulate the amount of caffeine in your cup of tea
If you want more caffeine in your cup, steep the tea bag or leaves in hot water for a longer period of time. If you want to eliminate up to 80% of caffeine, first steep the tea briefly, and then pour fresh boiling water over it again.
